Practice Fusion Telehealth
Start the visit from the Practice Fusion chart. The scribe listens and drafts the note in your own template as you talk. You read it over, then DashQuill opens the encounter and files the note into it. Practice Fusion is the only integration where that last step is automatic.
Trusted by hundreds of Practice Fusion practicesA visit, start to finish
The documentation is the part that runs over. Everything below is aimed at the gap between hanging up and the note being done.
Launch from the chart
Start the visit from the Practice Fusion record, and patients join from a link. There is no download or account, and rooms can be reused for recurring visits.
The scribe drafts the note
The visit is transcribed into a clinical note in your template, with diagnoses, medications, and allergies pulled from the chart for context.
Review and file
Edit whatever needs editing, and DashQuill creates the Practice Fusion encounter and imports the note into it.
What practices say
The scribe knows what is already on the chart
A draft written with no knowledge of the patient reads like it. DashQuill pulls diagnoses, medications, and allergies from Practice Fusion before the visit, so the note refers to the problem list that actually exists.
- Pulls diagnoses, medications and allergies from the Practice Fusion chart
- Notes follow your own template rather than a fixed format
- Full transcript retained alongside the drafted note
- Separate provider and patient summaries from the same conversation

The encounter is created for you
Elsewhere, this is where the workflow breaks: a good note still has to be pasted into an encounter someone opened by hand. On Practice Fusion, filing creates the encounter and puts the note inside it.
- Creates the Practice Fusion encounter from the session
- Imports the AI-generated note into that encounter
- Nothing is filed until the provider has read and approved it
- The version you edit is the version that gets written

Telehealth and AI scribe in Practice Fusion

Questions we get asked first
The things Practice Fusion practices want settled before a demo.
Does the note really get into the encounter automatically?
On Practice Fusion, yes. DashQuill creates the encounter and imports the note into it. This is worth stating plainly because it is not true of every integration. On AthenaHealth, eClinicalWorks, and AdvancedMD, encounter creation is still in development.
What do patients need to join?
A link. No app, no account, no software to install. Room links can be reused for recurring visits, and there is a waiting room so people are not dropped straight into the call.
Can the note follow our own format?
Yes. Templates are yours to upload and edit. The draft is also just a draft — you read and edit it before anything is filed.
Is the visit recorded?
The conversation is transcribed so the scribe can work from it, and the transcript stays available next to the note. Consent requirements vary by state and are the practice's call.
What if the draft is wrong?
You edit it before filing. Nothing reaches the chart without a provider approving it, and the edited version is what gets written to the encounter.
Watch a note land in a Practice Fusion encounter
The demo takes fifteen minutes. The part worth watching is the end of the visit, not the video call itself.
