Does the note file into the eClinicalWorks encounter automatically?
Not yet. The scribe drafts the note and reads patient context from eClinicalWorks, but creating the encounter and filing the note into it are still in development. That full round trip is live on Practice Fusion only.
What context does the scribe actually read?
eClinicalWorks patient context is pulled into the scribe before the visit so the draft is written against the existing record. This read is not available on AthenaHealth.
Can we use our own note templates?
Yes. Templates are uploadable, and the draft comes back in that format. It is only a draft. You edit it before it goes into the chart.
What do patients need?
A link and a browser, on a phone or a computer. No app, no account, no password.
Is the visit recorded?
It is transcribed so the note can be drafted from it, and the transcript stays available next to the note. Consent requirements vary by state and remain the practice's decision.
