How it works
Everything here is aimed at the twenty minutes of documentation that normally follow a twelve-minute appointment.
Start the session
Launch from eClinicalWorks or send a reusable room link. Patients join in a browser and wait until you admit them.
The scribe drafts the note
It pulls existing eClinicalWorks patient context, then transcribes the visit and drafts a clinical note in your own template.
Review and place the note
Edit the draft and file it into the encounter. Creating that encounter from the session is still in development.

A draft written with the history in view
A scribe with no chart access writes a note that reads like a transcript of a first meeting. Pulling eClinicalWorks patient context first means the draft refers to what is already documented rather than restating it from scratch.

Does the note file into the eClinicalWorks encounter automatically?
Not yet. The scribe drafts the note and reads patient context from eClinicalWorks, but creating the encounter and filing the note into it are still in development. That full round trip is live on Practice Fusion only.
What context does the scribe actually read?
eClinicalWorks patient context is pulled into the scribe before the visit so the draft is written against the existing record. This read is not available on AthenaHealth.
Can we use our own note templates?
Yes. Templates are uploadable, and the draft comes back in that format. It is only a draft. You edit it before it goes into the chart.
What do patients need?
A link and a browser, on a phone or a computer. No app, no account, no password.
Is the visit recorded?
It is transcribed so the note can be drafted from it, and the transcript stays available next to the note. Consent requirements vary by state and remain the practice's decision.
